About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, managing calendar, communications, and organizational priorities
  • Strengthen organizational and document management systems to improve collaboration
  • Coordinate human resources processes including recruitment and onboarding
  • Maintain the LGL database to ensure accurate donor and stakeholder records
  • Partner with the Executive Director to organize and advance fundraising campaigns
  • Draft high-quality donor communications, proposals, and engagement strategies
  • Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, including meeting logistics and minutes
  • Facilitate Board development, onboarding, and orientation programs
  • Foster an inclusive, mission-driven staff culture rooted in Jewish values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • At least five years of work experience in a mission-driven environment (higher education, nonprofit, or Jewish communal life)
  • Strong foundation in administrative and operational roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data management tools
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven project management and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree
  • Knowledge of current trends in nonprofit philanthropy and higher education

Benefits

  • Salary range of $70,000 - $80,000
