About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of up to 15 neurodivergent students, meeting 1:1 approximately twice per week for executive functioning training and academic coaching.
- Provide weekly seminar instruction and workshops focused on study skills, executive functioning strategies, and independent living skills.
- Offer drop-in executive functioning coaching on a rotating basis.
- Communicate with students' faculty, campus support offices, and families as necessary to support student success.
- Collaborate with the Office of Disability Services to ensure students are properly registered for academic accommodations.
- Support and collaborate with Graduate Assistants providing similar student supports.
- Represent the On Your Marq program at University Admissions events, information sessions, and resource fairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience.
- Proven experience in case management or providing executive functioning support.
- Strong listening, problem-solving, and information-gathering skills.
- Ability to function independently and demonstrate compassion for neurodiverse young adults and their families.
- Excellent time management and detail-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience specifically working with neurodiverse adolescents and/or adults.
- Experience supporting individuals who may experience behavioral dysregulation or co-occurring mental health concerns.
- Basic understanding of the college academic accommodation process.
