Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of accountability for the global-to-local pharmacovigilance (PV) model, ensuring consistency and compliance across all regions.
- Provide functional oversight of the Worldwide Operations Office (WWOO) and regional PV Hubs to ensure operational performance and quality standards.
- Define the scope and governance of regional PV Hubs, establishing clear boundaries between global, regional, and local responsibilities.
- Establish a governance framework for local process adaptation to meet regional regulatory requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional US and International teams to embed a patient safety mindset across global operations.
- Develop innovative approaches to core activities by integrating new technologies, including AI.
- Aggregate regional insights and risks to shape and prioritize objectives for the PV system.
- Build, coach, and scale a high-performing team while driving succession planning and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 17+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance and international operations within the life sciences industry.
- Minimum of 7 years in leadership roles with experience managing international or multi-regional operations.
- Strong background in PV compliance, inspection readiness, and quality oversight across multiple markets.
- Proven ability to influence key decision-making with senior stakeholders and cross-functional leaders (e.g., QPPV, Medical Affairs, Regulatory).
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate regional complexity into clear governance and executive-level insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, MS, or MBA) in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience working with AI technologies in a pharmacovigilance context.
