About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the working professionals team, setting direction and ensuring alignment with Career Management Center (CMC) priorities.
- Supervise a team of staff supporting working professionals and contribute to School-wide strategic planning.
- Conceptualize professional development, lifelong learning offerings, and career education seminars for alumni and experienced professionals.
- Advise graduate business students and alumni on career mobility, including internal transitions, networking strategy, and executive presence.
- Partner with Strategic Partnerships teams to establish employer engagement plans and enhance international job opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Alumni Relations, Faculty, and Admissions to support career-related programming.
- Leverage market intelligence and data to inform curriculum development and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least seven years of related business experience, including staff management and counseling.
- Experience in career development, executive search, recruitment, human resources, or a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the business environment, talent sourcing, and recruitment processes.
- Strong program and project management skills with a customer service mindset.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with strong executive presence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays on a seasonal basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, MA in higher education, or another relevant graduate degree.
- Prior experience working in a career management capacity within a graduate business program.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and curriculum development.
- Familiarity with NYC’s emerging employment markets, including technology and digital media sectors.
