Executive Director, Working Professionals Career Management

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the working professionals team, setting direction and ensuring alignment with Career Management Center (CMC) priorities.
• Supervise a team of staff supporting working professionals and contribute to School-wide strategic planning.
• Conceptualize professional development, lifelong learning offerings, and career education seminars for alumni and experienced professionals.
• Advise graduate business students and alumni on career mobility, including internal transitions, networking strategy, and executive presence.
• Partner with Strategic Partnerships teams to establish employer engagement plans and enhance international job opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Alumni Relations, Faculty, and Admissions to support career-related programming.
• Leverage market intelligence and data to inform curriculum development and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least seven years of related business experience, including staff management and counseling.
• Experience in career development, executive search, recruitment, human resources, or a corporate environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the business environment, talent sourcing, and recruitment processes.
• Strong program and project management skills with a customer service mindset.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with strong executive presence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays on a seasonal basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, MA in higher education, or another relevant graduate degree.
• Prior experience working in a career management capacity within a graduate business program.
• Experience with e-learning platforms and curriculum development.
• Familiarity with NYC’s emerging employment markets, including technology and digital media sectors.
