About the Company

Toberman Neighborhood Center (TNC) is a community non-profit organization serving the San Pedro Harbor area and surrounding communities. TNC provides essential family services, including after-school programs, gang intervention, academic resources, food pantry services, and employment support to inspire change and enable a better future for underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of multi-year strategic plans and establish organizational priorities
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Board of Directors
• Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, and policy implementation
• Manage the annual operating budget and ensure sound fiscal stewardship
• Develop diversified revenue strategies and professionalized fundraising systems
• Strengthen partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and government agencies
• Support culturally responsive and trauma-informed programming
• Maintain a visible and active presence within the communities served

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years of responsible executive experience
• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, sociology, or a related discipline
• Experience managing day-to-day nonprofit operations
• Proven track record in building revenue and increasing philanthropic support
• Experience managing government contracts and public agency partnerships
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative teams and strengthen organizational culture
• Experience integrating equity-centered practices into leadership and operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in community-based organizations, youth development, or mental health programming
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and equity-focused leadership practices
• Familiarity with the San Pedro, Wilmington, and Harbor Area communities
