Executive Director – Strategic Leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a large-scale healthcare and medical device cybersecurity research portfolio.
• Lead an internal team of seven direct reports spanning program management, grants, research, and communications.
• Manage a complex multi-institutional ecosystem of sub-awardees, consultants, and partner organizations.
• Ensure achievement of program goals, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with the Principal Investigator's vision and sponsor expectations.
• Oversee grant administration and financial management across the full program portfolio, including monitoring spending across sub-awardees.
• Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations, institutional policies, and data security protocols.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the PI and external stakeholders, including hospital partners, manufacturers, and funding agencies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, healthcare informatics, hospital administration, public health, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in program management or research administration.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-institutional research or technology programs.
• Proven track record of managing complex, federally funded projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and healthcare IT infrastructure.
• Excellent organizational, operational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in medical device cybersecurity or experience with FDA-regulated technologies.
• Executive experience in healthcare delivery or medical device manufacturing.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
• Prior experience working with federal research sponsors.
