Executive Director, Site Head

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of the Amgen Genome Valley (AGV) strategy, goals, and objectives
• Lead the AGV site leadership team, managing site-wide processes and providing executive guidance
• Oversee scientific lab management, ensuring best practices in lab safety, compliance, and productivity
• Manage site operations including Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability, Facilities, Lab Operations, and Security
• Ensure crisis management readiness and compliance with corporate safety protocols
• Foster staff engagement through town halls, employee resource groups, and site events
• Represent Amgen in the local community by engaging with universities and participating in scientific events

Requirements

• Ph.D., Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a similar discipline, or a Medical degree
• 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Strong financial analysis, quantitative, and qualitative skills
• Proven expertise in drug discovery, commercialization, and operations planning
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to solve complex business challenges
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Extensive experience in project management and leading high-performing teams
