About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the CCB Regulatory Affairs team, setting strategic direction and driving execution of regulatory and public policy initiatives.
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the firm’s policy priorities with US regulators, trade associations, and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior CCB management to ensure alignment on regulatory objectives.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with US regulators, policymakers, and industry groups.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive briefing materials, including memos and presentations, for senior executives.
  • Coordinate with corporate and business partners to develop regulatory policy positions regarding small business, card and payments, and housing.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the firm’s business and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10 years of relevant policy and/or government experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience driving public policy priorities at a trade association or corporation.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior management, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in public policy, law, business, or a related field.
  • Experience working directly with US financial regulators or in a government affairs capacity.
  • Experience leading high-impact advocacy campaigns or regulatory initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of consumer banking, payments, and housing policy issues.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
