Executive Director, Portfolio Management and Conversions

Responsibilities

• Oversee completion, permanent conversion, rent restructuring, and deployment of tenant-based rental assistance for the Division’s portfolios
• Provide support to Division and Office leadership on policy, process, and goal setting
• Develop and evaluate program-specific requirements and procedures to enhance impact and accomplish agency goals
• Manage and direct staff, including establishing productivity measures and promoting high achievement
• Act as a liaison with developer teams, financial institutions, tenant groups, and governmental agencies
• Lead special projects and implement intra- and inter-division initiatives
• Represent the Assistant Commissioner at internal and external meetings

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
• Four years of professional experience in real estate development, financing, negotiation, urban planning, or related fields
• At least 18 months of experience in an executive, administrative, or managerial capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Real Estate Finance, MBA, Public Administration, or Planning
• Strong financial analysis skills including financial modeling and statement analysis
• Knowledge of affordable housing finance, lending, and construction
• Experience with tenant-based rental assistance such as Section 8
• Proven track record of closing transactions and managing complex relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
