Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and supervision for all bilingual, ESL, and World Language programs across the district
• Develop and refine philosophy, policies, and operating procedures for bilingual education in alignment with state and federal law
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Office of English Learner Education Programs, including placement, assessment, and curriculum development
• Monitor language acquisition and academic achievement of English Learners to ensure meeting state and federal mandates
• Manage the office budget and Title III budget
• Collaborate with the Assessment Office and Department of Learning and Teaching to ensure equitable participation for diverse students
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and institutions of higher education
• Serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Executive Leadership Team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in TESOL, Bilingual Education, or Educational Leadership required; Doctorate preferred
• Minimum of five years of administrative experience at a director, principal, or executive level
• Eligible or holding a Pennsylvania PreK–12 Administrative Certificate
• Proven experience working with English Learners or Dual Language instruction in an urban school district
• Deep knowledge of Title III and ESEA compliance
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collect and analyze data to drive improvement
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred

Benefits

• Salary range between $138,000 to $194,000
