Executive Director of Development and Planned Giving

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop, and implement comprehensive fundraising programs and campaigns to achieve university goals.
• Design and manage proactive plans focused on expanding private and deferred giving to support the university mission.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from a portfolio of individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
• Lead research efforts for individual prospects and ensure robust prospect portfolios for university leadership.
• Supervise fundraising staff and assign metrics to ensure regular solicitation and tracking.
• Represent the University on external committees, work teams, and civic partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of significant experience in fundraising or a related field.
• Proficiency with computerized databases and word processing.
• Ability to work fully in person (onsite) in Charlotte, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
