About the role

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and lead a national team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)
  • Define and implement the field medical operating model, including territory design and engagement metrics
  • Co-develop and execute the field Medical Affairs Launch Plan in alignment with commercial and clinical timelines
  • Oversee strategic KOL engagement across academic and community-based practitioners
  • Lead medical advisory boards, scientific symposia, and congress engagement strategies
  • Partner with HEOR, Market Access, and Clinical Operations teams
  • Define and oversee field medical metrics and dashboards to track engagement quality and insight generation

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant life sciences discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in Medical Affairs
  • 3–5 years of direct MSL leadership or field medical management experience
  • Proven track record of building or scaling field medical teams, ideally in a launch setting
  • Deep knowledge of MSL best practices and regulatory guidelines (OPDP)
  • Experience in therapeutic areas such as oncology, rare disease, or immunology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a biotech company navigating a first or second product launch
  • Familiarity with field force effectiveness tools like Veeva CRM or Salesforce Health Cloud
  • Exposure to HEOR, RWE, or registry evidence generation
  • Prior experience in clinical practice or direct patient care
