About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives to accelerate the global transition to net zero
- Lead stakeholder engagement and scale the Institute to achieve global ambitions
- Provide strategic leadership for Institute programs, including establishing short-term and long-term performance objectives
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships across institutional, governmental, and sectoral borders
- Oversee strategic communications plans and prepare key progress, impact, and financial reports
- Manage organizational governance, including budget allocation, research funds, and staff hiring
- Collaborate with the Academic Director, faculty, and senior University leadership to align priorities
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in financial management or business administration
- 10 years of experience in strategy development, implementation, and external relations
- Proven experience in senior administrative roles managing complex relationships
- Demonstrated experience in financial, human resources, and communications management
- Strong knowledge of organizational governance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information
- Strong negotiation, project management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in business
- Experience working in a high-growth unit or a "start-up" environment
- Experience leading teams in a complex or unionized organizational setting
- Experience within a University or large-scale research environment
