Executive Director - Investment Middle Office Services

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end securities trade processing, including capture, confirmation, settlement, and fails management.
• Oversee daily trade capture validation and ensure accurate booking into internal systems.
• Supervise settlement execution to meet market, custody, and regulatory timelines.
• Investigate fail trades, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Mitigate operational risk through strong controls, governance, and exception management.
• Partner with Client Ops, Technology, and counterparties to resolve breaks and settlement issues.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Monitor KPIs and critical reports, escalating issues appropriately to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of securities trade lifecycle processing and settlement disciplines.
• Proven experience in people management, including performance coaching and accountability.
• Expertise in risk and control management to handle exceptions and regulatory obligations.
• Strong ability to execute root-cause analysis and drive sustainable remediation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders, clients, and counterparties.
• Proficiency in analyzing operational data and metrics to improve service levels.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving automation initiatives and operating model improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with Technology teams on system enhancements and incident management.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder ecosystems, including custodians and clearing agents.
• Proven track record of delivering audit-ready documentation and control evidence.
• Experience supporting new product onboarding and regulatory change implementation.
