About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership during the pre-opening phase, partnering with development, construction, marketing, and corporate teams
- Lead pre-opening sales and marketing efforts, including relationship building and referral network development
- Recruit, onboard, and develop the foundational leadership team
- Oversee day-to-day operations with full P&L responsibility
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop and implement strategies regarding labor, occupancy, revenue growth, and expense control
- Partner with the Director of Sales to conduct SWOT analyses and support sales efforts
- Coordinate with department directors (Health and Wellness, Memory Care, Life Enrichment, Culinary, Maintenance) to ensure high standards of care and service
- Manage annual operating budgets and capital requirements
- Build high-performing teams and maintain company culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related subject
- Required certification for Residential Care Facilities based on state regulations
- Proven experience opening a new development Senior Living community
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management with success in financial and sales goals
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training team members
- Proficiency with computer systems and software platforms
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Acceptable driving record per company policy
