About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership during the pre-opening phase, partnering with development, construction, marketing, and corporate teams
  • Lead pre-opening sales and marketing efforts, including relationship building and referral network development
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop the foundational leadership team
  • Oversee pre-opening budgets, policies, and procedures
  • Manage day-to-day operations with full P&L responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Focus on resident, family, and team member satisfaction
  • Develop strategies for labor, occupancy growth, revenue growth, and expense control
  • Partner with the Director of Sales on marketing strategies and tours
  • Coordinate with department directors (Health and Wellness, Memory Care, Life Enrichment, Culinary, Maintenance) to ensure high-quality service
  • Manage annual operating budgets and capital requirements
  • Build high-performing teams and maintain company culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related subject
  • Required certification for Residential Care Facilities based on state regulations
  • Proven experience opening a new development Senior Living community
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management with success in financial and sales goals
  • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
  • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and training team members
  • Ability to obtain assisted living administrator licensure within a prescribed timeframe
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
