Executive Director, DSI

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and programmatic leadership for the Data Sciences Institute (DSI)
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships across institutional, governmental, and sectoral borders
• Oversee the development of national research strategies and training programming
• Manage fellowship, mentorship, and event programs
• Execute strategic communications plans and prepare key impact and financial reports
• Support DSI governance and implement research and collaboration funds
• Allocate budgets and lead the development of hiring strategies

Requirements

• Post Graduate Degree in statistical sciences, computer science, or a related field (PhD highly desirable)
• 10 years of experience working within a research setting
• Proven experience in strategy development and implementation of academic programs
• Demonstrated experience in financial, human resources, and communications management
• Project management, business, or financial management certificate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a senior administrative role within a university or large complex organization
• Knowledge of organizational governance and political acuity
• Experience managing complex relationships with senior University Officers and external stakeholders
