About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic vision and long-term planning in collaboration with the Board
  • Drive fundraising efforts, including major donor cultivation and the Oberlin College capital campaign
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and organizational governance
  • Cultivate relationships with university leaders, community organizations, and alumni
  • Oversee student engagement strategies to ensure safe and inclusive Jewish spaces on campus
  • Supervise and mentor a professional staff of ten employees
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, especially in crisis situations
  • Manage multi-campus operations and communications to enhance brand visibility

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years of professional experience
  • At least three years in a leadership role within a nonprofit, higher education, or related organization
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven success in strategic planning and team management
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial resource development and major gifts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a university setting with college-age students
  • Expertise in leading conversations about Judaism and Israel
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site operations
