About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, operational, and administrative coordination for the Senior Advisor and Strategic Advisor within the Faculty of Medicine.
- Manage complex governance, administration, and external relations projects involving health authorities and government officials.
- Conduct research and prepare briefing notes, presentations, and materials for internal and external constituents.
- Act as a primary point of contact, managing communications and linkages between the Dean’s Executive team and UBC Health leadership.
- Oversee the lifecycle of various projects, including identification, implementation, and outcome evaluation.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with extreme diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of two years of related professional experience.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience providing executive-level support within a large, complex organization.
- Experience working with senior-level leadership and diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of University policies, governance, and administrative systems.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and tactfully, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in project management and group facilitation.
