About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize rotating menu production for high-volume service
  • Supervise kitchen productivity and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
  • Manage food and labor costs in collaboration with management to meet financial objectives
  • Oversee human resources, including staff training, support, and conflict resolution
  • Manage food requirements through efficient purchasing and procurement processes
  • Ensure all food preparation meets MAPAQ hygiene and safety standards
  • Conduct monthly inventory and manage cleaning product usage safely and efficiently
  • Maintain professional relationships with employees and clients while managing dietary restrictions and allergies

Requirements

  • Diploma in hospitality, catering, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in kitchen team management
  • Proven experience in high-volume kitchen environments
  • Demonstrated experience in managing food and labor costs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to perform under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • MAPAQ Food Safety Manager certification
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Previous experience working in remote or isolated environments within the natural resources or construction sectors
