Executive Chef

Responsibilities

• Design globally inspired menus for a la carte dining, healthcare venues, catering, and special events
• Champion a 100% scratch cooking philosophy and implement 'a la minute' standards
• Oversee food production to ensure high quality and minimal waste
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, Health Department, CMS, and Ecosure sanitation standards
• Source ingredients from local producers while balancing quality and cost
• Manage electronic recipe and inventory databases including cost and nutritional data
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to culinary staff
• Manage team schedules, performance reviews, and inventory records
• Meet budget targets and provide monthly financial performance commentary

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a high-quality, scratch multi-venue kitchen
• Current sanitation certification and required federal/state/local certifications
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and recipe/inventory/scheduling software
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to multi-task and make independent decisions in a demanding environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary Arts Degree or Professional Chef Certification (CEC or CIA ProChef 3)
