About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth running of the kitchen department and high-level guest dining experiences
  • Develop and implement strategies based on key kitchen metrics and tracking tools
  • Manage the team life cycle, fostering growth, development, and performance
  • Prepare and manage the departmental budget, controlling costs and inventory
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review food offering performance and provide recommendations to drive financial results
  • Ensure adherence to all legislation, due diligence, and best practice activities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a kitchen
  • Prior experience as a department head in a similar property is required
  • Proven experience in a kitchen position, ideally within a hotel environment
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Degree in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
