About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee product quality in a mass production kitchen to ensure consistent taste and appearance
- Implement and adhere to food quality and food safety gold standards
- Prepare weekly cook schedules and review payroll in collaboration with HR
- Train, coach, and develop sous chef staff and kitchen associates
- Supervise employees to ensure sanitation, safety, and menu planning compliance
- Collaborate with Corporate R&D chefs on ingredient and menu continuous improvement
- Ensure proper documentation of lot information, CCPs, sensory results, and yields
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a commissary kitchen and high-volume food preparation
- High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Familiarity with USDA/FDA guidelines
- Knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and USDA regulations
- Skills in planning, organizing, and executing projects
Preferred Qualifications
- American Culinary Federation chef certification
