About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the business leader for one of four dining halls
- Develop culinary concepts, recipes, programs, and standards
- Lead food safety initiatives by implementing and training staff on industry standards
- Oversee and develop a team of dedicated unionized employees
- Assist management in establishing budgets, cost controls, and operational efficiency
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and participation
Requirements
- Red Seal Chef status
- Five years of recent experience leading high-volume culinary teams
- Demonstrated experience in a unionized environment and knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
- ServeSafe and FoodSafe certifications
- Experience with cost control and employee management
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to communicate in French as appropriate
- Proficiency with computers and POS equipment
