About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support to the VP Health and Dean, Faculty of Medicine, including strategic calendar management and travel coordination.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Dean, liaising with the Office of the President, Board of Governors, health authorities, and government ministries.
- Manage complex correspondence, triaging requests and drafting high-level documents, briefing notes, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis on sensitive issues to prepare materials for speeches, presentations, and media interviews.
- Lead project planning and management related to the efficient administration and organization of the Office of the Dean.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion and diplomacy.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of related executive administrative experience.
- High-level document management skills, including drafting, editing, and proofreading complex documentation.
- Strong professional English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing administrative and management support at a senior executive level.
- Proven experience working within a large, complex organization or academic institution.
- Knowledge of university policies, governance, and administrative systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience managing projects involving diverse stakeholders from public and private sectors.
