Executive Assistant to the President

About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level, confidential administrative and operational support to the President and the Office of the President.
- Manage the President’s complex calendar, including meetings, appointments, travel, and related logistics.
- Initiate, compose, edit, and prepare professional correspondence, reports, presentations, and other executive-level materials.
- Act as the primary administrative liaison between the Office of the President, senior university leaders, faculty, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and track presidential priorities, special projects, and cross-functional action items to ensure timely completion.
- Handle highly sensitive information with extreme discretion and sound judgment.
- Manage office operations, including purchasing, travel coordination, and budget tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience.
- Proven experience providing direct support to a senior executive, cabinet-level leader, or high-level administrator.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex calendar management and executive communications.
- Strong proficiency with standard business software and office management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional drafting and proofreading.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within higher education, the public sector, or government environments.
- Experience coordinating executive-level projects, organizational initiatives, or budget-related processes.
- Ability to anticipate needs and identify potential issues before they arise.
- Strong service orientation and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
