About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative, operational, and strategic support to the CEO, including calendar management and executive communications.
  • Coordinate meetings for the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Senior Executive Council, including agenda preparation and minute-taking.
  • Manage executive travel, accommodations, and logistics.
  • Maintain secure electronic and paper filing systems in compliance with Ontario legislative record-keeping standards.
  • Oversee office operations, including equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and facility service coordination.
  • Monitor executive-level budgets and process financial transactions such as deposits and expense tracking.
  • Support organizational digital platforms by coordinating updates to the public website and internal staff portal.
  • Uphold Truth and Reconciliation principles by ensuring all administrative activities are culturally safe and respectful of Indigenous communities.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and information-management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of records management, privacy, and information governance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and respect for Indigenous cultures, communities, and governance structures.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPIC clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an Indigenous organization or community.
  • Professional development in governance support or public-sector administration.
  • Experience managing digital content and organizational websites.
