About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative and management support to the Department Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.
- Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment in handling day-to-day matters on behalf of the Department Chair.
- Update and maintain administrative policies and procedures to ensure a stable and efficient working environment.
- Analyze complex information requests and investigate solutions to administrative problems.
- Coordinate projects, prepare correspondence and reports, and handle fiscal procedures for the executive.
- Identify departmental staffing needs and maintain confidential personnel files and correspondence.
- Plan and schedule departmental work to ensure effective utilization of employees, equipment, and materials within budgetary requirements.
- Maintain a master schedule for the executive, including meetings with Deans, the President/CEO, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional or administrative experience in the public or private sector.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
