Executive and External Communications Manager

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the external presence of key executives through clear, differentiated, and authentic messaging rooted in enterprise strategy.
• Develop high-quality executive communications, including speeches, talking points, op-eds, and authored content.
• Support the development and execution of external communications strategies to advance executive positioning.
• Manage external communications and public relations agencies to extend reach and impact.
• Secure and support earned media opportunities, such as interviews, contributed content, and profile placements.
• Identify and recommend speaking opportunities, conferences, and industry events aligned with strategic goals.
• Manage submissions, speaker bios, and preparation materials for executive participation in events.
• Collaborate with Social, Marketing, Brand, and Events teams to ensure coordinated messaging across all channels.
• Track and report on earned media coverage, executive visibility, and the impact of external communications.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in communications, executive communications, public relations, or related fields.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor tone and voice for senior leaders.
• Proven experience developing executive messaging, authored content, or thought-leadership materials.
• Experience supporting earned media initiatives or working with external PR agencies.
• Familiarity with managing speaking opportunities, panels, or visibility platforms.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work directly and professionally with senior leaders in a corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in professional services, financial services, insurance, or B2B industries.
• Prior experience supporting C-suite or senior executive communications.
• Understanding of executive reputation management and brand governance.
• Exposure to integrated earned, owned, and social media amplification strategies.
