About the role

About the Company

Variant Bio is developing life-saving therapies by studying the genes of people with exceptional health-related traits. The company's research is powered by its proprietary Inference platform, which integrates deep phenotyping and multi-omic data using statistical genetics and AI/ML approaches to identify and validate therapeutic targets.

Responsibilities

  • Own and actively manage complex, multi-time-zone calendars for multiple C-suite executives
  • Coordinate and prepare executives for internal and external meetings, board sessions, and investor calls
  • Draft, review, and manage high-stakes correspondence on behalf of leadership
  • Track and drive completion of key deliverables and action items across functions
  • Manage special projects and identify operational inefficiencies to implement scalable processes
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including supplies and shared spaces
  • Manage investor and board logistics and coordination for board meetings
  • Plan and coordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Organize and execute company events including weekly team lunches, off-sites, and board meetings

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting C-suite or senior executives
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong instinct for anticipating problems and identifying risks early
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and AI tools
  • Ability to be onsite in the Seattle office five days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at an early-stage biotech, life sciences, or clinical-stage company
  • Background supporting executives in venture capital or private equity
  • Familiarity with board governance, investor relations, and fundraising processes
  • Experience building administrative or operational functions from scratch
