Exception Control Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Reconcile various general ledger accounts for verification and control
• Review and monitor exception reports and return mail
• Provide customer service and support for internal and external inquiries
• Reconcile and complete entries for third-party funding accounts
• Perform daily balancing and review of teller/vault accounts and limits
• Conduct daily ATM entries serviced by armored car
• Perform stop pay, non-post reviews, and surprise audits
• Assist with unclaimed property and backup withholding processing

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous banking experience or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of bank operations and information systems
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with computer software and bookkeeping
