Exam Invigilator

Responsibilities

• Support the Examinations Department by ensuring all exams are conducted in accordance with JCQ guidelines
• Supervise and direct students into examination rooms according to seating plans
• Patrol examination rooms discreetly and maintain awareness of other invigilators
• Ensure the correct ratio of students to staff is maintained at all times
• Assist with the accurate completion of registers and the distribution/collection of examination papers and scripts
• Support the secure delivery and return of examination materials
• Supervise the orderly exit of candidates and report any incidents via incident logs
• Work collaboratively within the invigilation team under the direction of the Lead Invigilator

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when interacting with students and staff
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm and helpful approach
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to be firm yet fair, maintaining an appropriate air of authority

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or within a school environment
• Prior experience in examination invigilation
