EWIS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and troubleshoot avionics engineering queries to provide solutions for testing and repairing electronic systems and components.
• Make sound engineering decisions regarding installation, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution under tight deadlines.
• Analyze technical data to propose troubleshooting steps and engineer electrical continuity checks, operational tests, and acceptance tests.
• Interpret engineering wiring diagrams, system schematics, and aircraft manuals to support troubleshooting duties.
• Engineer repairs for harnessing across all aircraft systems, including Flight Management Systems (FMS), Satcom, communications, navigation, and Cabin Management systems.
• Create, maintain, and trace EWIS requirement documents throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and improve system-level EWIS designs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Support and maintain certification-related documentation including DOA/DO A, AC 25.1701 1, AMC 20 23, and ARP4754.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of aircraft systems engineering experience, specifically involving troubleshooting and problem-solving in aircraft manufacturing.
• 3 years of experience using CATIA and Enovia.
• 3 years of experience with wire harness assembly, installation, termination, and testing to schematic specifications.
• 3 years of experience with EWIS (Electrical Wiring and Interconnection Systems) and EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference).
• 3 years of experience with engineering design specifications and functional test procedures.
• Experience with certification documentation such as DOA/DO A and ARP4754.
