Events Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of events for the Frisco Bowl activities.
• Support the management of logistics including catering, décor, signage, audio/visual, and guest services.
• Help research, order, and manage inventory for promotional items.
• Develop hosting and management plans for the Players Lounge and Coaches Hospitality Lounge.
• Assist in the development of bowl week events such as Team Arrival Dinners, VIP Receptions, and Fan Fests.
• Help manage and lead the group of bowl week interns.
• Support game day operations and in-game presentations.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance to the Events Coordinator and Executive Director.

Requirements

• Must be an active college student.
• Must receive college credit for the internship from an accredited university.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Availability to work 15-20 hours per week, with increased hours closer to the bowl games.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including select nights and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Planning, or Hospitality.
• A strong interest in college athletics and the sports industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
