Events and Marketing Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the schedule for program and event calendars
• Analyze client needs and provide recommendations on event logistics and options
• Implement communication, marketing, and advertising plans to support outreach and revenue goals
• Research and identify new opportunities to promote departmental programs and initiatives
• Foster and maintain professional networks to build capacity and collaboration
• Manage full-cycle event logistics, including registration, vendor relations, and post-event evaluation
• Handle event expenses, collaborate on cost estimates, and prepare financial summary reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of experience
• Minimum three years of experience in conceptualizing and executing events within a complex organization
• Minimum two years of experience in promotions, including writing and editing copy for web, social media, and print
• Demonstrated experience with full-cycle event management and multi-day event logistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and social media platforms
• Knowledge of AODA compliance for event planning
• Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with livestreaming and virtual event technologies (e.g., Zoom, YouTube, StreamYard)
• A passion for brand building and audience engagement
