About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support for large-scale student events, including orientation and summer camps
- Manage event task tracking, timelines, and documentation to ensure key milestones are met
- Coordinate facilities, catering, audio-visual needs, and transportation arrangements
- Administer event registration systems and manage attendee communications
- Execute financial transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders, and expense reports using Workday
- Manage event budgets, process honoraria, and conduct post-event financial reconciliation
- Liaise with campus partners such as Facilities, Security, and IT to ensure event readiness
- Ensure all activities adhere to institutional policies, risk management, and accessibility standards
Requirements
- Completion of two years of post-secondary education
- Over two years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with financial management tools and enterprise systems
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a complex, multi-unit organization or post-secondary environment
- Familiarity with Workday or similar HR and financial management software
- Experience with event management and registration software
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
