Event Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide general labor for special event setup including chairs, tables, barricades, and staging equipment
• Perform carpentry work, painting, and use of hand and power tools
• Execute janitorial duties such as garbage pick-up before and after events
• Operate city vehicles and forklifts as assigned
• Work in a warehouse environment when not performing event setups

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in carpentry or painting trades
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
• Physical strength to perform heavy manual labor and lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to work in unfavorable weather conditions and on various shifts including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operation license
