Event Technician Audio Visual

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and hybrid AV support for Zillow gatherings, including room setup, equipment checks, and live event monitoring.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the AV Engineering team and the Workplace team for hybrid events in Seattle.
• Partner with event hosts and planners to understand requirements and recommend appropriate AV configurations.
• Set up, operate, and break down audiovisual systems including microphones, cameras, displays, and conferencing tools.
• Perform regular testing and health checks of AV spaces and log issues for follow-up.
• Deliver basic training to team members on how to use AV spaces and standard tools.
• Troubleshoot routine hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to AV Engineers.
• Assist with documentation, such as quick-start guides, checklists, and how-to resources.

Requirements

• High school diploma; an associate degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or onsite event support.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end AV setups, including room prep, live monitoring, and teardown.
• Working knowledge of Zoom and Zoom Rooms.
• Ability to troubleshoot common audio, video, lighting, and control issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Google Workspace.
• Experience with production hardware such as audio mixers, video switchers, camera controllers, or lighting consoles.
