Event Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site lead for in-person social impact team-building events
• Manage event logistics including setup, teardown, and site cleaning
• Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate and nonprofit partners
• Oversee the guest check-in process and provide a warm welcome to attendees
• Problem-solve real-time issues such as technology challenges or missing supplies
• Coordinate with venue staff, nonprofit partners, and event hosts to ensure seamless execution
• Provide consistent updates, photos, and videos to the central Events Team
• Pack, label, and ship event materials back to the distribution center after events

Requirements

• Must be based in Ann Arbor, MI
• Experience managing corporate, large-scale, or executive-level events
• Proven experience in group facilitation and managing group dynamics
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact with large crowds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, on a per-event basis
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 30 lbs
• Resourceful, quick-thinking, and able to maintain grace under pressure
