Event Security

Responsibilities

• Guard, patrol, and monitor venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions
• Ensure guest safety through proactive interaction and hazard removal
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
• Lead guests and employees in emergency evacuation procedures
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees and guests
• Inspect guests using metal detectors or pat-down searches to prevent weapons from entering the venue
• Check identification for guests purchasing alcoholic beverages
• Enforce house policies regarding photos, videos, and recording devices
• Maintain clear communication using radios and hand signals
• Assist with venue setup and maintaining a clean, safe environment

Requirements

• 3 years of experience interacting with people in a positive environment
• Ability to work late hours and maintain a flexible schedule
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform constant walking or climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs+
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to exercise good judgment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud, and high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a live music or event environment
• Experience using metal detection equipment or recognizing valid IDs
• Bi-lingual skills
• Self-defense training
• EMT or other medical background
