About the role

Responsibilities

  • Field all inbound event leads and oversee the planning, selling, and execution of all contracted on and off-premise events
  • Present creative food, beverage, and space solutions to meet client needs while maintaining strict budget specifications
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager to price and execute profitable events
  • Drive business development by identifying new event opportunities and building guest loyalty through relationship management
  • Assist in creating a positive brand presence by publicizing special promotions and events via social media and marketing outlets
  • Track sales data for promotions and analyze trends to make recommendations for increasing revenue and attendance
  • Communicate event offerings and procedures clearly to all restaurant departments to ensure seamless execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • High-volume hospitality experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Chicago area and its major business landscape
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Tripleseat, OpenTable, and Toast POS
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
