Event Producer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production of community activations, block parties, and neighborhood gatherings
• Secure city permits and coordinate logistics with city agencies, including sound, layout, and safety
• Support the rollout and activation of Belong Bench installations across NYC
• Design the flow and experience of events to ensure they are inclusive and intergenerational
• Build relationships with local partners, including community organizations, small businesses, and artists
• Own end-to-end event budgets, from initial planning and vendor negotiation to final reconciliation
• Create run-of-show documents and lead on-site execution with calm and adaptability

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience producing events, activations, or community programs
• Proven experience with public-facing or street-level events
• Experience navigating city permit systems (parks, streets, community boards)
• Strong budget management experience and ability to make real-time financial tradeoffs
• Based in NYC and able to work on-site in a hands-on, field-based capacity
• Highly organized, self-directed, and energized by the mission to combat loneliness
