Event Planner

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute corporate and social employee events including award ceremonies, picnics, and holiday parties
• Manage the entire event lifecycle from planning and budgeting to on-site coordination and post-event wrap-up
• Secure venues, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor selection
• Create and manage communications and announcements for event attendees
• Prepare event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices
• Organize and coordinate suppliers, caterers, staff, and entertainment
• Manage logistical elements including transportation, setup, and timing
• Oversee set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior-level executives
• Maintain strong vendor partnerships and negotiate competitive rates
• Coordinate event schedules and documentation

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Proven ability to negotiate and focus on cost savings
• Outstanding coordination, organization, and time management abilities
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on event planning experience preferred
• Degree in hospitality, public relations, or management preferred
• Ability to multitask under pressure with high attention to detail
• Creative thinker with innovative event ideas
• Proven on-site/day-of event management experience
