Event Operations Excellence Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects to ensure alignment with organizational strategy
• Develop and manage portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Drive project prioritization to maximize ROI and strategic impact
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple projects
• Ensure compliance with PMO processes, templates, and documentation standards
• Lead lessons-learned initiatives and continuous improvement of PMO functions
• Support event operations team to increase organizational visibility
• Act as a key liaison between the event operations department and other company departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, IT, or Engineering
• PMP® certification required
• 3–7+ years in project/program management
• At least 2 years in a PMO leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of establishing or maturing PMOs
• Experience in portfolio management, governance, and executive reporting
• Proficiency with tools like MS Project, Jira, Clarity PPM, Smartsheet, or Power BI
• Strong people management, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MBA or Project Management)
• PgMP®, PfMP®, or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP®, SAFe, CSM, or PSM)
• ITIL® Foundation or COBIT® knowledge
