Event Manager & Hillel Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement diverse recreational, educational, cultural, and social events for the JCC community
• Oversee event logistics including space reservations, supplies, and volunteer coordination
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote programs
• Support active adult and senior programming, including field trips and administrative tasks
• Assist with the Louisville Jewish Film Festival and rental client needs
• Plan and execute approximately two student programs per month for University of Louisville students
• Collaborate with student leaders to co-create programming and build future leaders
• Manage event logistics, scheduling, marketing, and vendor coordination for student programs
• Evaluate program success using feedback and data

Requirements

• Experience in event planning, program management, or community engagement
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to balance dual roles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to engage diverse audiences from seniors to college students
• Familiarity with Jewish culture, traditions, and community life
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Comfort creating social media engagement
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, including occasional Shabbat programming
