Event Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of diverse events including scientific conferences, business summits, and campus celebrations
• Manage event logistics including venue selection, AV/production, catering, accommodation, and on-site staffing
• Develop event concepts, agendas, and success metrics for online, offline, and hybrid formats
• Identify, secure, and host high-profile speakers, panelists, and VIP guests
• Negotiate with vendors and manage event budgets to ensure high-quality delivery within financial constraints
• Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, PR, academic leadership, and executive teams
• Define KPIs and track engagement to drive continuous improvement for future events

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on event management experience across multiple event types (corporate, academic, or scientific)
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events in parallel
• Solid operational knowledge of event logistics, including production and speaker coordination
• Excellent communication and people skills for interacting with senior executives, professors, and partners
• Fluency in English is required
• German language proficiency (B2 level preferred)
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% and work occasional evenings or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing scientific or academic conferences, including abstract management
• Experience producing executive-level events such as board meetings or partner summits
• Familiarity with event technology stacks, including registration platforms and hybrid streaming tools
