Event Frequency Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, track, manage, and maintain radio frequency (RF) dependent devices during stadium events
• Communicate technical issues to non-technical RF users and instruct on proper equipment operation
• Provide unbiased technical advice to home and visiting team members
• Troubleshoot RF issues on non-game days as necessary
• Cover postgame press conferences
• Coordinate credentialed media attendees and RF operators for NFL games and events

Requirements

• Background in broadcasting or equivalent skills with standard broadcast RF equipment
• Proficiency operating and interpreting Anritsu Spectrum Analyzers, Cub frequency counters, and iCOM radio scanners
• Experience with antennas, scanners, attenuators, and coordination software
• Working knowledge of RF systems and current technology to qualify legitimate complaints
• Knowledge of NFL RF usage surrounding a venue and event
• Maintain continued technology education in broadcasting; SBE or IEEE membership is helpful
• Keep current with Federal Communications Commission rule changes related to RF coordination
• Ability to move throughout the stadium, climb stairs, stand for long periods, and carry equipment
• Excellent communication and people skills for interacting with teams, broadcast production, stadium personnel, and NFL staff
