Event Coordinator of Conference and Events

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and execution of campus events, including meetings, conferences, and camps.
• Support event scheduling and request processes using AdAstra Information Systems.
• Collaborate with Food Services and Facilities Management to ensure all event logistics and needs are met.
• Communicate directly with event clients to coordinate specific details and provide high-quality customer service.
• Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of student workers and support staff.
• Coordinate with external vendors, including managing orders, logistics, and on-site hosting.
• Maintain departmental calendars and update related documents with key dates and deadlines.

Requirements

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in standard office software and personal computers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse population.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support scheduled events.
• Demonstrated commitment to upholding the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event scheduling software or information systems.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or student worker management role.
• Knowledge of standard budgeting and expenditure control procedures.
