Evaluation Engineer, Intern

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on lab work to analyze customer samples and determine feasibility for automated inspection solutions
• Utilize machine vision principles including blob detection, pixel counting, filtering, and edge detection
• Conduct image analysis on Android, iOS, Windows, Linux/Unix, and Cloud-based applications
• Create 2D engineering drawings and detailed lab reports upon completion of testing
• Manage and track customer samples within a database and maintain an organized lab environment
• Assist in the creation of standard hardware/electrical solutions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Provide technical support to end users regarding solution performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electrical or Computer focus preferred)
• 2+ years of practical engineering experience, including Co-Ops or internships
• Knowledge of engineering drawing and working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams
• Technical knowledge of Android, iOS, Windows, Cloud, and Linux/Unix environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing, Packaging, General Automation, or Networking
• Basic knowledge of photography principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Visual Basic
