About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for complex evaluation and benefits management projects.
- Drive strategic initiatives to grow the evaluation and benefits management business area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector agencies, private sector clients, and infrastructure operators.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing high-quality bids and proposals.
- Direct and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality deliverables based on best practices and the Magenta Book.
- Mentor and develop high-performing team members while promoting a culture of innovation and inclusion.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working within the evaluation field.
- Higher degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- Chartered status or professional membership (e.g., CIHT, TPS, or UK Evaluation Society).
- Proven expertise in theory-based and quasi-experimental evaluation design within a transport context.
- Demonstrated track record in the design and implementation of Benefits Management.
- Strong statistical and economic analysis skills, including the ability to interrogate complex datasets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK&I transport planning principles, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of how AI platforms can assist in the execution of evaluation and benefits management projects.
- Experience navigating evaluation teams through imperfect data environments.
